Now that more and more musicians have access to home recording
equipment they have become less reliant on major recording
studios for basic tracking. Digital multi track recording
has revolutionized the way music is recorded today but it
does have some serious drawbacks that cannot be fixed with
a few plugins.
When we want a nice warm fat kick drum and a sizzling hi-hat
we go right to our Studer tape deck. Drums are recorded to
tape and then, depending on the circumstances, we dump right
to Pro Tools and edit and mix with ease there.
What if you have a completed home recording and need
the warm analog sound you expect? Simple. Bring your
24bit/48khz session, replace your drums and bass through our
vintage Neve console and Studer tape {rent the tape}. Get
a real drum sound, my over head mikes alone are worth more
than the most expensive Pro Tools rig.
Get the baddest ass temple of phat bass sound that has been
on every hit record since recorded time. Check out my selection
of vintage British and
American guitar amps. We
will drop the tracks back on your Pro Tools session and you
are out the door - to mix at home or continue to create. Enjoy
the most awesome rhythm tracks that need no fixing, tweeking,
EQing, plugins......nothing.
Put the arguments to rest, you have to track at least drums
and bass on tape. Remember plugins copy the real thing which
is tape and analog gear, how good they do that is basically
convenience. Get off your ass and track in a real studio.
Neve, Studer, meat and potatoes, Pro Tools, computers, tofu
