We used Vintage Selmer Truevoice amps and Marshalls. All the tracks where
recorded with Acc. guitars then we added electric guitars. We recorded analog,
Protools for edits. The songs "Sorry" and "Dharma Kaya"
were not in this arrangment when we first heard them. The guitar riff that
starts off "Dharma Kaya" was originally only at the end. We said,
"thats great can we hear more of it?" This is where ProTools is
great. Myself Lorenzo, Dave Bernstein (our intern at that time) took the
song and re-arranged it and showed it to the guys. They loved it and the
rest is history. The same was true with "Sorry" there was a different
breakdown and we added a loop to the first verse and the breakdown. One
more thing we decided at the last monent with "Dharma Kaya" was
to get rid of the click. Marc Slutsky (the drummer at the time) started
the song off with a fill that set the magic. And let me tell you when I
heard that I turned to Lorenzo and said, "This is the one". It
was one take and thats the real magic. These are great and talented guys
to work with and may be the next major deal out of Sabella Studios.
