Guernica
started back in November 1999 as a metal/hardcore
band from Long Island, New York. After going
through various lineup changes through the years,
in April of 2003 the new, solid lineup was formed.
Guernica has always been an aggressive metal
band that has mixed different genres of music
into their songs to try and stand out from the
growing metal scene in Long Island. There is
a certain groove or bounce to their music that
they like to call "groove-core". They
are currently playing shows every weekend on
average and are looking to go beyond the Long
Island scene and live out their dream of playing
music and doing what they love.
This
was an 11 song cd that was recorded in 6 days
- all pure energy.
"Jim Sabella and Lorenzo Famiglietti brought
out the best in us musically. Their ideas were
very helpful and they were very into what we
were doing. The album that we finished is the
best
thing we've ever done. They were able to capture
our live and raw sound but with amazing studio
quality. Most importantly they made us feel very
comfortable in the studio which also helped make
this album a memorable one."
