Mike has been producing and engineering records for 15 years during which he has accrued an impressive client list. He is an award winning published songwriter who has been studying music since the age of 4 when he began playing the violin. At age 8, Mike turned his attention to the guitar, which has lead to a successful career and impressive resume.
Mike was All-County jazz guitarist from 1994 to 2000 and was named All-State jazz guitarist in 2000. He went on to attend SUNY Purchase where he received a B.M and studied studio production and composition under Joe Ferry, Jim McElwain, and Eric Helmuth.
In 2000, Mikes band Simon Has No Pants, won a nationwide battle of the bands, sponsored by Yoo-hoo and Alternative Press magazine, and went on to perform at Vans Warped Tour. Mike later went on to tour with and play drums for Roger Miret and the Disasters on their Hell-Cat records release, 1984. He has also worked as a guitar tech for Biohazard.
Mike engineered Garden, which was included on The Upwellings debut album and was released by Edmond Records. He is currently touring as the bassist for The Upwelling. Among others, Mike has played in bands that have opened for Marky Ramone, Good Charlotte, The Used, Maroon 5, Spring Heeled Jack, The Toasters, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Third Eye Blind, All-American Rejects, and Chris Daughtry.
